BS#2 :: CLOSED :: 5 pt :: Use your kit!

Challenge #2 is to make the most of your CC kit! You will need to create 4 layouts and 1 card (or, 5 layouts if that works better for you) from a SINGLE kit.

If you don't have a cc kit, you can still play along. You will need to create a kit. Your kit should include up to 4 pieces of cardstock (2 of each color), up to 4 sheets of patterned paper, 1 alphabet, 1 piece of ribbon, and up to 4 embellishments.

You've got almost a month to work on this: due October 1 at 11:59 PM EST.

Quick question- can we add to the kit (like extra cs, etc.)? Just want to make sure before I get busy.

Wow, what a great challenge! If you use a CC kit, remember to enter your projects in the CC Monthly Kit Contest.

No extra CS or paper, unless it is as an embellishment. The idea is to use up the kit, so *minimal* additions are ok.

OK. I'll have to dig to find a relatively intact kit and get busy when I get back home. :)

What if you bought the Add-on to the kit or the extra embellies that were showcased for the kit?

Yeah...I have the same question. What if I got the add-on cardstock and patterned paper kits as well, along with the embellies that were featured with it? I consider it part of my kit because I probably would not of bought it otherwise except for the kit. If not, it's okay. I understand.

Love this challenge Sarah! I've been using the kits pretty much exclusively lately, so this shouldn't be too difficult for me!

I just finished mine! I used the Vegetable Garden kit (and I still have enough left for a couple more LOs if I add more cs). I did add a very few things- a tiny scrap of white cs, 2 jewels, a brad, a rubon, a button and stamping. I hope that's within the range of minimal additions!

Hm, to make it fair... I think that if you want to use addons, you should substitute them for something in the kit for the purpose of this challenge. So, for example, if you wanted to use an add-on sheet of pp, you should substitute it for a sheet in the kit.

Does that make sense?

I just want to make sure it's fair to those who don't have a kit and are creating one from scratch...

Thanks! It was fun and challenging to try to make all the pages look different and not to add stuff like I usually do. It was a good exercise for me!

I have a question - If we normally do 2 page layouts and did it for this, would the 2 page layout be considered 2 layouts for purposes of getting the 4 layouts. Otherwise, I don't think there would be enough cs or pp to do this challenge.

a 2 pg LO counts as 2 LOs.

Ok, I hope this is ok. This was the only kit that I had that was still intact (so to speak) as I had it on the floor to use for several layouts. I know I added a couple of things, but not sure all the cardstock was with the kit. PLEASE let me know if I need to do something else. Thanks for the push to get some scrapping done.

Here are my layouts:

These are from the spinster kit. I LOVE the colors and papers in the kit!!!
